A Japanese restaurant
This isn't a Japanese restaurant. But I wish it was. I think the concept for Sushi restaurants has become so stale, especially the mid-market sushi restaurants that always involve some kind of dark blue cloth banner entrance, laminate wood counters and cheap seat tables. I wish there were more mid-market sushi joints using this kind of pale-wood look, with yellow and grey short-haired wool seats and pine and slate plates. You know, the sort of place that looks clean, instead of cramped, dark and smelling vaguely of sour rice and manufactured truffle oil.

Colonial-esque apartment in HK
I recently reliazed that I love browsing on Airbnb, just to see how people's houses are decorated. It satisfies the voyeur in me. Look at this gorgeous colonial-esque apartment, it has all the trimmings of old creakwood furniture and ornaments, ikat, glass coffee table, masculine shelves and books. Beautifully done, so in love with it.
